Hi and welcome to OneLobby!

OneLobby has been a company in the making for the last two years. In late September we morphed from an online community for conference attendees to a collaborative event management solution. For the past 3 months, our team of 8 have been working relentlessly to make sure we release the easiest to use, beautifully designed product that will improve the lives of event planners and their stakeholders across the globe.

A lot of people within the events industry have helped us to get to where we are today. After all, it takes a village to raise a company. In late 2011, I joined my local Atlantic Canadian chapter of MPI and I met Alana Hirtle. Alana has been in the events industry for 25 years and has spent the last 14 of those as the Event Manager for White Point Beach Lodge on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada and assists in over 200 events year round.

Alana is super smart, hilarious like no other and knows the events and meetings industry inside and out. She is kind, genuine and the type of person who will give you honest feedback, the kind that help build great companies. In recognition of Alana and her continued support, we are naming our first release, OneLobby Version 1.0, after her.

Alana, thank you for being the woman that you are and for helping a young, nervous man find his way within this vast and expansive industry. This one is for you!

OneLobby’s latest version, “Alana”, will be available on February 28, 2013.

We will continue this new tradition with every new release we do. It’s our way of saying thank you to those who helped us find our way.
